The Leader’s Edge™ is an organization dedicated to enhancing executive women’s effectiveness as senior leaders.
The Leader’s Edge was founded by Molly D. Shepard in 2000 to address the poor representation of women in the highest ranks of American business. The Leader’s Edge is determined, through coaching, research, and presentations, to uncover the causes of this phenomenon so it can be effectively remedied.
To date, we have helped dozens of women from some of the largest and most prestigious companies in the world, including Accenture, GlaxoSmithKline, Lincoln Financial, PECO Energy, Sovereign Bank, University of Pennsylvania, and Wyeth.
The Leader’s Edge offers ten unique programs:
- Executive Program—Helps develop the leadership skills of senior-level women
- Leading Up—Designed to enhance the skills of management-level women
- L.E.A.D.—An on-going program offered to graduates of both of the above programs
- Reach—Provides support to senior women moving into new positions
- Leading Up for Women of African Descent—Designed specifically for senior-level women of African American descent
- Women On Board—Designed to help senior women executives develop a realistic understanding of the issues, and the knowledge, skills and experience needed by
boards today.
- Canyon Ranch Program—Provides women executives with the opportunity to combine their need for advanced leadership training in a complex world with the desire for overall health and well-being
- Presentation Coaching Service—Focuses on improving and enhancing public speaking effectiveness in a private session
- Launch—Assists senior-level women in transition
- Leaders By Design—Provides leadership development and coaching for male executives
Participants of the Executive and Leading Up Programs work with a personal coach for several months, undergo extensive interviewing and 360-degree analysis, attend an offsite retreat focused around their personal and practical learning, and are able to tap into the Research and Network on this website.
