Press ReleasesFor Immediate Release CLIENT LINCOLN NATIONAL NAMED TOP EMPLOYER FOR EXECUTIVE WOMEN Lincoln Financial Corporation, a Leader’s Edge client, was recognized by the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE) as one of the top companies for executive women. Lincoln was selected for a number of initiatives supporting its women including the Leading Up program. Lincoln National Corporation, the parent company of the Lincoln Financial Group of companies has been recognized by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) as one of the top 30 U.S. employers for executive women. Lincoln was also named by Working Mother magazine for the 16th consecutive year as one of the top companies in the U.S. for working mothers. According to Jon A. Boscia, chairman and chief executive officer of Lincoln Financial Corporation, “More than one-third of Lincoln’s officers are women. Women comprise one-fourth of Lincoln’s board of directors and fill 20 percent of the operating positions on Lincoln’s senior leadership team.” Lincoln was selected for a number of initiatives including The Leader’s
Edge ‘Leading Up’ program, a corporate-wide initiative which
identifies high potential women from different areas of the company who
participate in an intensive seminar focusing on corporate skill building,
networking and self-assessment. This highly selected talent pool also
participates in multiple executive coaching sessions to further promote
professional development. The program was piloted in 2002 with over 30
percent of the participants being promoted to higher-level positions.
