Molly Shepard Receives Career Management Fellow Certification by
International Board

December 20, 2007 – Washington, DC

Molly Dickenson Shepard of Philadelphia, by vote of an international board of Governors, has been named Career Management Fellow in recognition of her contributions to the field of Career Management including Leadership Coaching and Executive Career Transition. Jean Erickson Walker, CMF, Chair of the Institute for Career Certification (ICC) International made the announcement today.

“I am deeply honored to be certified as a fellow by ICC International. I have strived my entire career to uphold the highest quality standards and ethics in my business. I have carried this commitment of quality into my current work with women business leaders,” said Molly, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Leader’s Edge, LLC, a company dedicated to the advancement of executive and high–potential women.

Molly serves on numerous boards of directors, is Chairman of the Board of WHYY, Chairman Emeritus of the United Way of Southeastern PA, President Emeritus of the PA Women’s Forum and Vice Chairman of The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. She has been the recipient of several awards including the ‘Woman Who Cares about What Matters’ and ‘Citizen of the Year’ from United Way, ‘Trailblazer Award’ from Philadelphia Magazine, and the ‘MSM Leadership Award’ from American College.

She published her first book, Stop Whining and Start Winning, to help women get ahead in their careers. She served as the Chairman, President and Co-founder of Manchester Inc, one of the world’s largest and highest quality transition consulting firms. Molly holds two Masters Degrees, one in Psychological Services and Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania and one in Leadership from American College, and has received an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities from West Chester University.

ICC International is the only not-for-profit and independent certifying body for professionals in the career management field created in 1994 by the Professional Associations for Career Management Practitioners and Firms to ensure that such services were being delivered competently, ethically and to defined and verifiable standards.

ICC International Certification is portfolio-based, documenting expertise and experience in the field. This portfolio of work is reviewed by a five-member committee that represents four countries. The work is then reviewed by the ICC International board. ICC International employs a thorough screening process to validate professionals in 30 areas of competency including career planning, assessment and leadership development.
