Shepard, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Leader's Edge, a Philadelphia-based organization that promotes the leadership development and advancement of high level executive women, recently announced the appointment of Nila G. Betof as Chief Operating Officer. According to Ms. Shepard, "The Leader's Edge programs are designed to prepare executive women as senior leaders by giving them powerful communication, networking and leadership skills. Nila's combination of skills and wealth of experience will undoubtedly help our organization as it grows." Ms. Betof brings over 20 years of operational and management experience to the new position. Additionally, she has extensive experience in career development consulting, leadership development, executive coaching and organizational change. She has consulted on establishing hundreds of leadership development programs and organization change initiatives. Most recently, Nila served as Vice president of the Client Solutions Group for the Strategic Management Group, a global e-learning company where she was responsible for all aspects of service delivery. Ms. Betof holds a Ph.D in Organization Development from Temple University, a Masters Degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Temple University. She serves on the Human Resources Committee of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and is a member of the Forum of Executive Women.
