What We Do

Reach

The Reach program is designed to provide support to senior women moving into new positions to ensure a smooth transition either within their current environment or a new company. Throughout the program, The Leader's Edge coach works closely with the participant, her manager and the Human Resources Department to build a solid foundation for success by identifying her business charter, goals, key stakeholders and first year's action plan.

The five-phase program combines executive coaching, personal and professional assessments, and skill building over a 9 to 12 month period and includes:

  • Orientation: Understanding the corporate climate and all relevant issues, establishing goals, discussing the 360° colleague interview process and the program elements.
  • Profiling: Includes a career development interview, the 360° interview and an assessment review.
  • Positioning: An analysis of relevant business issues and challenges which includes a three-day offsite skill building retreat. Business goals and charter are established and reviewed with boss.
  • Practicing: The new leader meets with her coach reviewing and measuring performance against established goals.
  • Performing: A final 360° interview is conducted approximately 5 to 6 months after the retreat to measure success in the new role.

At the completion of the Reach program, the new leader is able to perform at her maximum level of effectiveness. Her charter and direction will be set, her relationships with her boss and her key alliances will be identified and enhanced, and she will be confident and highly productive.

She will also have the opportunity to participate in L.E.A.D. to keep connected to dynamic senior women leaders and The Leader's Edge staff.
